23일 신세계그룹은 “메이저리그 자유계약선수 신분인 추신수 선수와 연봉 27억원에 입단 계약을 체결했다”고 밝혔다. 신세계그룹에 따르면, 추신수 선수는 연봉 가운데 10억원을 사회공헌활동에 사용하기로 했고, 구체적인 사회공헌활동 계획은 구단과 협의하기로 했다.
