브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 방송인 김새롬이 홈쇼핑 방송 중 같은 시간대 방송된 SBS ‘그것이 알고 싶다’ 관련해 “그게 중요한 게 아니다”라는 발언을 해 논란을 빚었고, 결국 사과했다.
김새롬은 지난 23일 오후 11시 방송된 ‘그것이 알고 싶다’와 동시간대에 홈쇼핑 방송을 진행했다. 이날 ‘그것이 알고 싶다’는 ‘정인아 미안해, 그리고 우리의 분노가 가야 할 길’ 편으로, 전국민적인 관심을 받는 입양아 학대 일명 ‘정인이 사건’ 후속편을 방송했다.
하지만 김새롬은 홈쇼핑 방송 중 제폼을 홍보하는 과정에서 “지금 ‘그것이 알고 싶다’ 끝났냐”며 “지금 그게 중요한 게 아니다”라고 발언했고, 이에 많은 이들의 항의와 비난이 쏟아졌다.
논란이 거세지자 김새롬은 24일 자신의 인스타그램에 “조금 전 마친 생방송 진행 중 타 프로그램에 대한 저의 언급에 대해 반성하는 마음에 글을 남긴다”며 운을 뗐다.
이어 김새롬은 “오늘의 주제가 저 또한 많이 가슴 아파했고, 많이 분노했던 사건을 다루고 있었다는 것을 미처 알지 못했고, 또 몰랐더라도 프로그램 특성상 늘 중요한 이야기를 다루고 있음에도 불구하고 신중하지 못한 발언을 해 제 자신에게도 많은 실망을 했다”고 전했다.
또 김새롬은 “여러분이 올려주는 댓글을 읽으면서도 많은 것을 통감하고 있다. 질타와 댓글들 하나하나 되새기며 오늘 저의 경송한 행동을 반성하겠다. 죄송하다”고 덧붙였다.
