원어스는 19일 오후 6시 전 세계 음악 사이트를 통해 데뷔 후 첫 정규앨범 ‘데빌’을 발매하고 타이틀곡 ‘반박불가 (No diggity)’의 뮤직비디오를 동시 공개할 예정이다. 이번 타이틀곡 ‘반박불가’는 원어스가 처음 시도하는 하이브리드 트랩(Hybrid Trap)으로, 지금까지 보여주었던 음악과는 상반된 강렬한 사운드를 선보이며 곡의 후반부로 치달을수록 점점 고조되는 분위기가 원어스의 매력을 폭발시키는 곡이다.
이어 ‘우리 사이를 반박할 수 있으면 반박해봐’, 질투와 시기가 넘치는 세상에서 ‘데빌’이라 불리는 이들의 당찬 외침을 담고 있으며, ‘너가 진정으로 하고 싶은 대로 해’라는 메시지를 전달하면서 대중들에게 색다른 위로를 건넬 예정이다.

원어스는 데뷔 첫 정규앨범 ‘데빌’을 발판 삼아 4세대 보이그룹 중 선두주자로 자리매김할 예정인 가운데, 최근 ‘데빌’ 발매를 앞두고 <브레이크뉴스>와 서면 인터뷰를 진행했다.
원어스는 데뷔 첫 정규앨범 ‘데빌’을 발표하는 소감을 묻자 “매번 앨범을 발매할 때마다 계속해 원어스의 노래를 들려드릴 수 있다는 것만으로도 감사한 마음이다. 가수에게 있어서 정규앨범의 의미는 정말 남다른 것 같다. 꿈을 하나씩 하나씩 이뤄가는 과정에서 큰 발자국을 하나 남기는 것 같다”고 밝혔다.
“무엇보다 정규앨범이기 때문에 ‘원어스가 이런 모습도 있었어?’, ‘이런 콘셉트도 잘하네’라는 새롭고 다양한 모습을 보여드리고 싶었다. 곡, 퍼포먼스, 콘셉트, 파격적인 스타일 변화까지 다양한 매력으로 꽉 차 있는 앨범이다. ‘DEVIL’ 많은 사랑 부탁드린다.”
첫 정규앨범의 타이틀곡 ‘반박불가’에 대해 “‘반박불가’는 뱀파이어라는 조금 특별한 존재로 살아가면서 남들과 다르다는 이유로 ‘DEVIL’이라 불리게 되지만, 주변 시선들을 의식하기보다는 ‘네가 진정으로 하고 싶은 대로 해’라는 주체적인 메시지를 담은 곡”이라며 “나를 둘러싼 상황과 주변의 시선 때문에 내가 진심으로 원하고 하고 싶은 것을 못할 때가 많은데, 그런 상황에 있는 분들에게 “하고 싶은 대로 해!”라는 용기의 말을 전하고 싶었다”고 전했다.
