【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북경찰청(청장 정상진)은 지난 6일 오후 2시부터 청주국제공항 계류장에서 폭발물·인질·화생방 등 복합테러 대응을 위한 대테러 관계기관 합동훈련을 실시했다.
충북경찰청을 비롯해 육군 제37사단, 공군 제17전투비행단, 국군 제337방첩부대, 국군 정보사령부, 국가정보원, 충북소방본부, 금강유역환경청, 서울지방항공청 청주공항출장소, 청주공항 등 12개 기관 210여 명의 인원이 참여했다.
이번 종합훈련은 여객청사에 설치된 폭발물 탐지 및 무력화, 테러범에 의한 항공기 피랍, 여객을 대상으로 한 인질극 진압과 인명 구조, 생화학 테러 공격 등 국가중요시설인 청주공항에서 발생할 수 있는 실질적 형태의 테러 상황을 가정해 대응력을 높이기 위한 종합적인 훈련을 진행했다.

특히 이날 훈련에서 충북경찰청 경찰특공대는 폭발물 처리 및 항공기 인질 구조 작전 등 실전을 방불케 한 활약을 펼쳤다.
한편, 정상진 충북청장은 “이번 훈련을 통해 어떤 유형의 테러에도 신속하고 체계적으로 대처할 수 있는 태세를 갖췄음을 확인했다.”며 “앞으로도 대테러 관계기관에서는 ‘국민 보호가 국가의 가장 중요한 책무’라는 소임을 갖고 예방과 대비 태세 확립에 모든 역량을 다해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
