【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=(사)무궁화복지월드 동청주권 봉사단(충북봉사단장 이충우)은 20일 초평면 행정복지센터를 찾아 저소득 재가 노인 식사 배달 사업 지원을 위한 후원금 200만 원을 전달했다.
이번 후원은 초평 나눔의 집(초평교회) 지원을 위해 마련됐으며 후원금은 초평면 지역사회보장협의체(공공위원장 이은천, 민간위원장 김영수)에 전달됐다.
이에 앞서 지난 5월 초평면 지역사회보장협의체와 (사)무궁화복지월드 동청주권 봉사단은 저소득층 후원을 위한 업무협약을 체결한 바 있다.
이 단장은 “종교적 이념은 다르지만, 어려운 분들을 위해 봉사하는 마음은 같아 기쁜 마음으로 후원했다”라고 말했다.
이은천 초평면지역사회보장협의체 공공위원장은 “지역주민들을 위해 사랑 나눔을 몸소 실천하는 무궁화복지월드에 깊은 감사를 드린다”라고 말했다.
기탁된 후원금은 초평면 지역사회보장협의체를 통해 초평 나눔의 집(초평교회)에서 매주 화요일 실시하는 저소득 재가 노인 식사 배달 사업을 위한 업소용 냉장고 구매에 사용될 예정이다.
한편 (사)무궁화복지월드는 아동에 대한 인식개선 사업, 저소득 계층을 위한 나눔 사업, 소외계층에 대한 교육문화사업, 연탄배달·수해복구 등 지역 사회공헌 봉사단 사업 등의 활동을 하는 사단법인 봉사단체다.
