한국스카우트연맹이 추진하는 '제17회 youth hero상('젊은 영웅상', 연령 9-24세)'의 시상을 위한 '제17회 youth hero상'의 첫 위원회(위원장=이영구 행복함께 나누기재단 상임이사)가 6월21일 오후 4시부터 6시까지 한국스카우트연맹의 스카우트 회의실에서 열렸다.
위원회는 오는 7월3일부터 9월1일까지 후보자 모집공고, 9월14일부터 17일까지 후보자 심사, 10월26일 시상식 개최 등을 결정했다.
이 상은 ‘youth hero 상(償)’ 규정에 따라 "국내외 청소년을 대상으로 다양한 부문에서 재능과 성장 가능성이 있는 청소년 인재를 발굴하고 지원하여 국가와 사회에 이바지하기 위함"이며, 선발부문은 학술, 체육, 문화-예술, 사회봉사, 진로개척, 스카우트 등이다.

한편 2023년 올해는 제25회 세계스카우트잼버리 대회가 한국에서 열린다. 한국스카우트연맹의 안병일 사무총장은 이 회의에서 “제25회 세계스카우트잼버리 대회는 8월1일부터 12일까지 전라북도 새만금에서 열린다”고 설명하고 “151개국에서 43,000명이 참가하는 대규모 대회이다. 텐트만해도 23,000개가 설치된다.”고 보고했다.
