23일 김태리의 소속사 매니지먼트mmm 측은 공식 SNS를 통해 “‘거기가 여긴가(김태리 브이로그)’의 모든 시리즈 영상물에서는 광고를 포함한 그 어떠한 부분에서도 수익이 창출되지 않고 있다. 그렇다고 해 누군가의 마음을 수익 창출과 견주는 것 또한 아니다”라며 “김태리가 ‘거기가 어딘가’를 시작하기로 마음먹고 첫 발을 내디뎠을 때부터 현재 진행하는 영어 자막까지 오직 팬분들을 위한 마음 하나였다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “다양한 언어 자막 번역에 대한 도움을 요청드린 것 역시 더 많은 해외 팬분들이 영상을 즐겨줬으면 하는 마음만으로 시작한 일이었다. 이러한 마음과는 다르게 저희의 부족함으로 다수의 분들에게 불편함을 드리게 돼 진심으로 죄송한 마음을 전한다”고 말했다.
그러면서 “결단코 ‘거기가 여긴가’의 모든 과정에서 누군가의 마음이 옳지 않게 쓰이는 것을 바란 적이 없고, 지극히 당연하게 지급되어야 하는 부분이 있다면 정당하게 지급됐음을 알려드린다”며 “이 모든 과정에서 불편함을 느낀 분들이 계신다면 다시 한번 진심으로 죄송한 말씀 전한다”고 덧붙였다.

한편, 김태리는 오는 6월 23일 방송 예정인 김은희 작가의 신작 SBS 새 금토드라마 ‘악귀’에 출연한다.
