(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자= 광주시는 오는 29일 오후 3시 김대중컨벤션센터 208호에서 자원회수시설(소각) 설치사업 추진을 위한 ‘광주시 자원순환형 폐기물 처리체계 구축 계획 수립 용역 중간보고회’를 개최한다.
이번 용역은 광주시가 2030년부터 가연성 생활폐기물 직매립이 금지되는 상황에 대비하고 지역 내 자체 처리 역량을 강화하기 위해 추진했다.
용역은 소각 등 폐기물처리시설 설치 계획을 검토하는 첫 단계인 기본구상 용역으로, 지난해 11월 시작됐다.
자원회수시설(소각)은 여가공간 등을 함께 조성해 주민 수용성을 높이고 오염물질 최소화, 에너지 활용 극대화 등을 통해 기피시설이 아닌 환경 친화형시설로 구축된다.
보고회는 지난 2월 실시한 소각시설 관련 설문조사(광주on)에서 ‘투명한 절차 공개 및 소통’을 원하는 의견을 반영하고, 자원회수시설(소각) 추진계획(안)에 대한 관심과 공감대 형성을 위해 오픈형으로 열린다.
