윤석열 대통령, 아랍에미리트·스위스 순방 마치고 21일 귀국

세일즈 외교 주력..UAE 300억불(한화 약 37조), 베스타스 3억불 등 투자 유치

윤석열 대통령이 6박8일간의 아랍에미리트(UAE)·스위스 순방 일정을 마치고 21일(한국시간) 오전 귀국했다.

 

윤 대통령과 부인 김건희 여사는 20일(현지시간) 오전 11시께 스위스 취리히 공항에 도착해 환송 행사를 마친 후 전용기인 공군 1호기에 탑승하고 귀국길에 올라 이날 오전 한국에 도착한 가운데 성남 서울공항에 마중나온 주호영 국민의힘 원내대표·정진석비대위원장·이상민 행정안전부 장관 등의 인사를 받았다.

 

전날 귀국길에 윤 대통령은 남색 정장에 파란색 넥타이, 김 여사는 남색 코트에 파란색 머플러를 한 가운데 윤성덕 주제네바 한국대표부 대사 부부·금창록 주스위스 대사 부부 등이 환송했다.

 

윤 대통령은 지난 14~17일까지 나흘간 UAE 국빈 방문 일정을 소화한 가운데 무함마드 빈 자예드 알 나흐얀 UAE 대통령과의 정상회담에서 300억불(한화 약 37조)의 한국 투자 유치를 이끌어냈다.

 

또 추가 원전 협력·제3국 공동진출 기반도 다진 동시에 에너지·방위산업·신산업 등 다양한 분야에서 총 48건의 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다.

 

UAE 순방을 마치고 스위스 다보스 '2023 세계경제포럼(WEF)' 연차총회에 참석해 단독 특별연설을 통해 한국의 글로벌 공급망 핵심 역할을 강조하면서 원전 분야 협력 확대 등도 내걸었다.

 

이번 순방의 핵심인 세일즈 외교에 주력한 가운데 JP모건·IBM·인텔 등 글로벌 기업 CEO들을 대상으로 투자 유치 의지를 강조했다. 풍력터빈 세계 1위 기업인 덴마크 베스타스의 3억불 대 한국 투자 유치도 받아냈다.
