올해 5급 이하 공무원 보수 1.7% 인상..4급 이상은 동결

올해 공무원 보수가 전년 대비 1.7% 인상된다. 또한, 실무직 공무원과 어려운 여건에서 근무하는 현장 공무원의 처우는 추가 개선된다.

 

인사혁신처는 2023년 공무원 처우개선 내용을 담은 ‘공무원보수규정’ 및 ‘공무원수당 등에 관한 규정’ 개정안이 3일 국무회의에서 의결됐다고 밝혔다.

 

이에 따라 5급(상당) 이하 공무원의 보수는 1.7% 인상된다.

 

또한, 상대적으로 처우 수준이 열악한 하위 실무직 공무원에 대한 처우가 개선된다. 9급 초임(1호봉)의 경우 공통인상분 1.7%에 추가인상분 3.3%을 포함해 총 5%가 인상된다.

 

아울러 8·9급 공무원의 직급 보조비를 2만원 인상하는 등 6급 이하 실무직 공무원의 처우를 개선한다. 6급 17만5000원에서 18만5000원, 7급 16만5000원에서 18만원으로, 8·9급 15만5000원에서 17만5000원으로 직급 보조비가 인상된다.

 

군인, 소방·경찰 등 공공안전 분야에 근무하는 현장 공무원에 대한 보상 수준도 개선된다.

 

군인 병장 봉급의 경우 연행 67만6000원에서 올해 100만원으로 인상되며, 2024년 125만원, 2025년 150만원을 늘어날 예정이다.

 

소방·경찰 업무의 특성을 고려해 소방령·경정 이하 실무직소방·경찰 봉급을 교정·보호·검찰·마약수사·출입국관리직 공무원 수준으로 인상한다.

 

반면, 관리직급인 4급(상당) 이상 공무원은 보수는 동결된다. 특히, 장·차관급 이상 정무직 공무원은 사랑나눔 실천에 솔선수범해 동참한다는 취지에서 연봉의 10% 상당을 기부한다.

 

기부를 통해 마련된 재원 약 20억 원은 보건복지부가 주관하고 한국사회복지협의회가 운영하는 ‘사랑나눔실천’ 사업을 통해 노인‧장애인, 자립준비청년 등 취약계층 400여 가구의 생활비, 주거·의료·교육비 지원에 활용될 예정이다.

 

김승호 인사처장은 “앞으로도 하위 실무직과 현장공무원에 대한 처우를 지속적으로 개선하는 등 공무원들이 자부심을 가지고 일할 수 있도록 여건을 개선해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
