전남자치경찰위, 독거노인 안전 머리 맞대

정책자문단 여성․청소년분과회의서 범죄 안전활동 강화 방안 논의

교통분과와 생활안전분과에 이어 세 번째로 열린 이날 여성·청소년 분과회의에서는 최근 어르신 범죄가 크게 느는데다, 특히 독거노인에 대한 고독사, 성폭력, 학대 등 범죄가 다양화하고 있어 근본적 범죄 유형과 현황을 분석함으로써 어르신을 범죄로부터 안전하게 보호하기 위한 대책을 마련하기 위해 진행됐다.

 

전남경찰청은 ‘독거노인 범죄안전 활동 강화’ 주제 발표를 통해 범죄에 노출되기 쉬운 어르신을 안전취약 노인으로 집중 관리, 주거지 주변 순찰 노선 지정, 학대·보이스피싱·성폭력·실종 등 범죄 유형별 맞춤형 교육 등 계획을 소개했다.

 

전남도자치경찰위원회는 도민이 체감하는 치안서비스 제공을 위해 ▲1호 시책인 ‘어르신 범죄피해 예방 종합 안전대책’ ▲과학기술부와 행정안전부의 6억 원 규모 공모사업 유치에 따른 ‘드론을 활용한 섬 지역 범죄 예방사업’ ▲행정안전부로부터 특별교부세 6억 원 확보를 통한 ‘유인(有人) 섬 정기항로 선착장 내부영상망(CCTV) 설치 사업’ ▲범죄피해자 통합지원 연계망 구축 등을 중점 추진하고 있다.

 

조만형 전남도자치경찰위원회 위원장은 “어르신 등 범죄 위험에 노출되고 소외된 사회적 약자 보호를 위한 시책을 발굴해 추진할 계획”이라며 “자문위원들께서 적극 참여해주길 바란다”고 당부했다.

 

전남도자치경찰위원회는 지난해 10월 정순관 순천대 교수를 단장으로 관련 분야 전문가 33명, 3개 분과로 정책자문단을 구성해 운영하고 있다.
