대영전자㈜는 1993년 설립된 이후 에어컨, 냉장고, 세탁기 등 가전제품 부품을 생산하고 있으며, 경북 경산시에 본사를 두고 광주에 제1공장, 제2공장을운영 중이다.
광주시는 2019년 중국에 있던 대영전자㈜의 국내 복귀 동향을 파악하고 전담공무원을 배치해 적극적으로 투자유치 활동을 펼쳐 같은 해 6월 투자협약(MOU) 체결에 성공했다.
