What is the reason for amplifying misunderstandings (prejudice) and anti-Chinese sentiment toward Koreans and China?

When will the reality of the Korean media becoming allegorized into our society will be corrected....

-Dr. Uh Woo-geun

People who have never been to China or have little contact with China (people) have more anti-Chinese feelings. On the other hand, people who have lived in China or have had quite a bit of exchange with China (people) are often friendly to China. One of the biggest reasons for this difference in perception?

It depends on what path you perceive China (people) as. In other words, if you know yourself through a'direct' experience, you will have a friendly (positive) perception, and if you know it'indirectly' through the Korean media, you will have a hostile (negative) perception...

The fact that some Korean media have a lot of problems is the same for domestic as well as foreign affairs. In particular, reports of bias focused on negatives on China and Japan are severe. Because of this, Korean people are obsessed with biased information, overreporting, and fake news, only misunderstanding and resentment towards them....

How the intent (thesis) of news reported in China related to Korea has been altered (distorted) through the Korean media and misleads our people, a recent example:

4/21, China Global Times Global Times reports a surge in demand for Chinese kimchi under the heading, "Demand for Chinese kimchi in the first quarter of 2021 in Korea surges." It is also accompanied by an analysis of the cause that seems to be the case because the cost-performance ratio is good, but the main purpose of the report is that the cooperation between Korea and China will be a great driving force for the economic development of the Northeast Asian region. It's a positive argument.

However, this was cited and reported in Korean media on April 22 under the title of "Surging demand for Chinese kimchi in Korea.. Excellent quality virtue." The title is remarkably different from the original purpose of the Chinese media, and the main content is "The Global Times evaluated that the excellent quality and low price of Chinese kimchi led to a surge in demand in Korea." The last sentence also said, "Also,'General Korean consumers still prefer high-quality and inexpensive Chinese kimchi'." However, as you can see from the title, how well can it be said that the main tone, which was a positive expectation for bilateral cooperation, was reflected? Rather, it wasn't a report that only aroused more antipathy against China.... Not long after this report was released, other media also began to report in this way.

Due to such reports by some of our media about China (Japan), our society continues to accumulate misunderstandings, prejudices, and negative perceptions about them. The <Korea-China Global Association>, which I am establishing, has a sense of mission to be well known to our society and sees the light of the world. Alas, when will the reality that the Korean media are wooing our society will be corrected... Refer to the Facebook <Korea-China Global Association>. woosukeun@hanmail.net
