브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 걸그룹 에이프릴 출신 이현주의 팀 탈퇴와 관련한 왕따설이 제기됐다.
28일 한 온라인 커뮤니티에는 ‘전(前) 에이프릴 멤버 동생입니다’라는 제목의 글이 올라왔다.
글쓴이는 자신을 에이프릴 전 멤버 이현주의 동생이라고 밝혔다. 주민등록등본 사진을 통해 가족관계를 증명한 글쓴이는 “누나는 연기를 하고 싶어 에이프릴에서 탈퇴했다고 알려졌지만 그건 사실이 아니다”며 “누나는 그룹 내에서 큰 괴롭힘과 왕따를 당해왔고 그 일로 공황장애와 호흡곤란 등 많이 힘들어했다. 결국 누나는 극단적인 선택을 시도했었다. 그때를 생각하면 저희 부모님과 저는 아직도 마음이 찢어질 거 같은 기분이 든다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “팀에서 탈퇴를 한 누나에게 회사는 ‘연기를 하기 위해 나간다’는 이야기의 편지 내용을 보냈고 그대로 적으라고 했다. 그래서 누나는 그대로 적었고 그때 저희 가족들은 몰랐다. 모두 누나를 위해 그렇게 해야 하는 게 맞다고 생각했다”며 “그러나 그 편지를 쓰고 누나는 자기의 이익만을 위해 팀을 배신해 나간 사람이 돼 너무도 듣기 힘든 악플들을 들었다. 그 후에 멤버들에게 사과를 받은 것도 없었고, 오히려 회사를 찾아간 엄마를 보고도 그 팀의 멤버들은 비웃으며 지나갔다”고 주장했다.
그러면서 “아직도 누나는 자신의 일을 열심히 하고 있다. 혹시나 누나의 이미지에 피해가 갈까 봐 참아왔지만, 아무 잘못도 없다는 듯 잘 살고 있는 멤버분들을 더 이상 지켜볼 수가 없어 이렇게 이야기드린다”며 “저조차도 이렇게 힘이 드는데 저희 누나는 어떨지 생각하면 너무도 속상하고 화가 난다”고 폭로 이유를 알렸다.
마지막으로 글쓴이는 “더 이상 이 멤버들이 활동하는 모습을 보고 싶지 않다. 계속 티비에 나오며 그때의 일이 저희 가족에게 떠오르게 하지 않았으면 좋겠고, 누나의 힘들어 하는 모습을 이제는 보고 싶지 않다”고 덧붙였다.
이와 관련해 에이프릴의 소속사는 DSP미디어는 “현재 정확한 사실 관계를 확인 중이다”고 전했다.
한편, 이현주는 지난 2015년 에이프릴 멤버로 데뷔했으며, 2016년 건강악화로 팀을 탈퇴했다. 이후 이현주는 2018년 방송된 KBS 2TV ‘아이돌 리부팅 프로젝트 더 유닛’에 출연, 최종 5위를 기록하며 프로젝트 그룹 ‘유니티(UNI.T)’로 활동한 바 있다.
