브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 가수 현아가 학교폭력(학폭) 의혹에 대해 직접 해명했다.
현아는 23일 자신의 인스타그램에 장문의 글을 게재하며 학폭 의혹을 부인했다. 현아는 “데뷔하고 이후 과분한 많은 사랑 받으며 지내온지 10년이 넘어 이제 벌써 14년. 가끔은 지나치게 어긋나고 잘못된 관심을 표현 받을 때면 저도 부족한지라 사람이라 매번 그런 생각했었다”며 “화가 나다가도 그저 제가 꿈을 위해 선택한 일이기에
웃어넘겨야지 또 관심이기도 하겠거니 아니면 이해하기도 했다”며 말문을 열었다.
이어 현아는 “저는 8살부터 아역 보조출연 시작으로 열두 살 초등학교 5학년부터 소속사 연습생 시절을 가수의 꿈을 키우며 지내다 보니 학창 시절이 굳이 이제 와 말하지만 저에게는 너무도 아쉬웠다”며 “학교 끝나고는 거의 바로 회사로 가는 버스를 타야 했고, 그때뿐인 추억과 경험을 쌓을 수 있는 시간들이 그때는 어린 마음에 빼앗긴 느낌이었다”고 전했다.
그러면서 현아는 “그래서 제가 하고 싶은 이야기는 저는 뺨을 때린 적도, 누군가를 때린 적도 없다. 저는 그 글 쓴 분이 마음으로 행복한 일들이 많아지길 바란다”고 덧붙이며 학폭 의혹을 부인했다.
앞서 이날 한 온라인 커뮤니티에는 ‘현아야 난 너한테 먼저 연락 올 줄 알았어. 너가 학교폭력 최초 가해자 아니야?’라는 제목으로 현아에게 초등학교 시절 학폭 피해를 당했다고 주장하는 글이 올라와 논란을 빚었다.
한편, 현아는 지난달 28일 7번째 미니앨범 ‘I’m Not Cool (암 낫 쿨)’을 발매, 활발한 활동을 이어가고 있다.
