【브레이크뉴스 충북】임창용 기자=제56회 국무총리기 전국소프트테니스대회가 11월 9일부터 11월 15일까지 7일간 옥천중앙공원 소프트테니스장에서 개최된다.
이번 대회에는 대한소프트테니스협회가 주최하고 옥천군소프트테니스협회가 주관하여 국내 실업팀 15개팀, 대학부 6개팀 250여명의 선수가 참가하여 기량을 겨룬다.
군에 따르면 코로나19 확산방지를 위해 개회식을 개최하지 않을 계획이며, 경기진행은 무관중 경기로 진행될 예정이다.
또한, 발열 체크뿐만 아니라 출입명부 기록 후 입장이 허용되며, 철저한 코로나 대응 매뉴얼을 준수해야 한다.
김재종 옥천군수는 “안전한 대회를 위해 참가자 모두 개인위생 관리를 철저히 해주길 바란다.”며 “지역경제 활성화를 위해 소프트테니스대회를 옥천에서 지속적으로 개최할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
군 관계자는“이번 대회를 통해 코로나19로 침체된 지역경제에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있으며, SPOTV 인터넷 방송을 통해 소프트테니스의 고장 옥천을 전국에 알리는 좋은 계기가 될 것”기대한다고 말했다.
