충남 아산시와 당진시, 한국도로공사가 충남 서북부 산업단지의 핵심 혈관이 될 ‘당진~아산 고속도로’의 조기 착공을 위해 강력한 삼각 공조 체계를 구축했다.
아산시와 당진시, 한국도로공사는 8일 ‘당진~아산 고속도로 건설 추진을 위한 상생 협력 실무회의’를 열고 사업 타당성 및 예산과 관련한 정부 재정 심사 현안에 대해 유기적으로 공동 대응하기로 뜻을 모았다.
이번 협력은 실시설계 단계에서 부두 처리용량 개편 및 정부의 예비타당성조사 제도 변경 등에 따라 기획예산처의 타당성 재조사 가능성이 제기되면서, 개별 지자체 차원의 대응에서 벗어나 한목소리로 중앙정부를 설득하기 위해 마련됐다.
당진~아산 고속도로는 아산시 인주면 냉정리부터 당진시 송악읍 전대리까지 15.66km 구간을 왕복 4차로로 연결하는 대형 국책 사업이다.
총사업비 7,050억 원이 투입되는 국가 간선도로망(동서 5축)의 핵심 노선으로, 향후 천안~아산 고속도로와 연계해 충남 북부권의 물류 체계 효율화와 지역 간 접근성 대폭 향상에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
아산시와 당진시, 한국도로공사는 국토교통부와 충남도, 기획예산처 등을 대상으로 사업의 시급성과 필요성을 적극 피력해 필요한 예산이 적기에 투입될 수 있도록 행정력을 집결할 방침이다.
