[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 김해지역 작은도서관 2곳이 국회도서관 도서기증사업에 선정돼 신간과 교양도서 700권을 확보했다.

김해시는 내외작은도서관과 월산주공작은도서관이 국회도서관 도서기증사업에 선정돼 14일 도서 전달식을 열었다고 밝혔다.

이번 기증은 김정호 국회의원의 추천으로 이뤄졌으며, 내외작은도서관에 400권, 월산주공작은도서관에 300권이 각각 전달됐다.

국회도서관 도서기증사업은 국회의원 추천을 받은 작은도서관과 학교도서관 등에 도서를 지원해 지역 주민의 지식정보 접근성을 높이고 독서문화를 확산하기 위한 사업이다.

이번 기증으로 두 도서관은 다양한 분야의 신간과 교양도서를 추가로 확보하게 됐다. 김해시는 주민들이 생활권 가까이에서 보다 다양한 도서를 접할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

김해시 관계자는 “양질의 도서를 지역주민에게 제공할 수 있게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “작은도서관 운영을 활성화하고 지역 독서문화 확산을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
