(함평=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남광주통합특별시 함평군이 관내 유해업소와 성매매 우려 지역을 대상으로 성매매 방지 및 피해자 보호를 위한 현장 지도·점검에 나섰다.
함평군은 지난 11일 관내 유해업소 밀집 지역과 성매매 우려 구역을 중심으로 ‘2026년 하반기 성매매 방지 및 피해자 보호 지도·점검’을 전격 실시했다고 밝혔다.
이번 점검은 여름 휴가철을 맞아 피서지와 주요 상업지구 내 유해환경을 정비하고, 성매매 집결지 및 유해업소에 대한 경각심을 고취해 청소년 보호와 안전한 지역사회 환경을 조성하기 위해 기획됐다.
점검에는 함평군청 관계 부서를 비롯해 함평경찰서 여성청소년계, 청소년유해환경감시단(함평군청소년문화의집) 등 유관 기관으로 구성된 민관 합동 점검반이 참여했다. 이들은 현장을 방문해 ▲성매매 관련 위반행위 여부 ▲성매매 방지 게시물 부착 여부 등을 중점적으로 점검했다.
합동 점검반은 현장 점검과 더불어 업주와 지역 주민을 대상으로 성매매 피해자 지원 체계와 신고 절차를 안내하는 등 계도 활동을 병행했다.
