【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군 가양도서관이 지역 주민들의 독서문화 향유 기회를 확대하고 세대별 맞춤형 배움의 기회를 제공하기 위해 나선다.
옥천군 가양도서관은 오는 8월 18일부터 28일까지 영유아와 어린이, 성인을 대상으로 2026년 하반기 독서문화프로그램 수강생을 모집한다. 이번 프로그램은 세대별 관심사와 역량을 반영해 독서, AI 리터러시, 교과 연계 등 다채로운 주제로 구성됐으며, 오는 9월 5일부터 11월 28일까지 총 9개 강좌로 운영된다.
영유아를 대상으로는 놀이 중심의 오감발달 쑥쑥 책놀이와 정글 탐험대와 함께 영어 Go Go! 등 2개 강좌가 진행돼 독서 흥미를 유발한다. 어린이 대상 강좌는 그림책으로 여는 마음 사전, Phonics with Cooking, 도서관 AI·미디어 탐험대 등 5개 과정으로 구성돼 독서 능력과 미디어 활용 역량을 동시에 키운다. 성인 과정은 문학으로 쓰는 감성 노트, 세상을 바꾸는 AI 등 2개 강좌를 통해 문학 창작과 실생활 AI 활용법을 다룬다.
이응주 옥천군 행복교육과장은 군민들이 일상 속에서 책 읽는 즐거움을 발견하고 최신 지식과 문화를 향유할 수 있도록 알찬 프로그램을 준비했다며 앞으로도 군민의 독서문화 활성화와 역량 강화를 위해 유익한 강좌를 지속해서 확대하겠다고 전했다.

Okcheon-gun Gayang Library will recruit participants for its 2026 second-half reading culture programs from August 18 to 28, targeting infants, children, and adults. Reflecting the interests and capabilities of each generation, the program is composed of diverse themes such as reading, AI literacy, and curriculum integration, and will run from September 5 to November 28 with a total of nine courses.
For infants and toddlers, two play-centered courses—"Sensory Development Growth Book Play" and "English Go Go!" with the Jungle Expedition—will be offered to stimulate interest in reading. Courses for children consist of five programs, including "Mind Dictionary Opened Through Picture Books," "Phonics with Cooking," and "Library AI & Media Expedition," designed to simultaneously develop reading skills and media utilization capabilities. The adult program covers literary creation and practical AI applications in daily life through two courses: "Emotional Notes Written Through Literature" and "AI Changing the World."
Lee Eung-ju, Head of the Happiness Education Division of Okcheon County, stated that substantial programs have been prepared to help residents discover the joy of reading in their daily lives and enjoy the latest knowledge and culture. He added that the county will continue to expand beneficial courses to promote the reading culture and enhance the capabilities of its residents.
