빙그레가 광복 81주년을 맞아 해외에서 독립운동을 펼친 독립유공자들을 기리는 특별전을 연다.
빙그레는 서울 용산구 백범김구기념관 전시관 1층에서 독립운동 캠페인 ‘대한의 가장 빛나는 여권’ 특별전을 오는 8월 11일부터 10월 11일까지 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 전시에는 조국의 이름으로 된 여권 없이 해외에서 독립운동을 하다 서거한 독립유공자 30인의 ‘명예여권’이 전시된다.
빙그레는 공훈전자사료관 기록을 바탕으로 해외에서 활동하다 서거한 독립유공자 가운데 건국훈장 독립장 이상을 수훈하고 사진 자료가 남아 있는 30인을 선정했다.
명예여권은 당시 독립운동가들이 타국의 신분증이나 임시 증명서 등을 이용해 국경을 넘나들었던 역사적 배경을 반영해 실제 대한민국 여권을 모티브로 제작됐다.
빙그레는 지난 7월 18일 독립기념관에서 명예여권 전달식을 열고 독립유공자 7명의 명예여권을 후손 대표 7명에게 전달했다. 전달식에 참석하지 못한 독립유공자 4명의 명예여권은 후손 대표를 직접 찾아가 전달할 예정이다.
캠페인 영상도 공개됐다. 지난 8월 1일 공개된 영상은 10일 만에 누적 조회수 약 700만회를 기록했다.
영상은 빙그레 공식 유튜브와 사회관계망서비스(SNS)에서 볼 수 있다. 인천국제공항 제2여객터미널 미디어월에서는 오는 15일까지, 국립서울현충원 미디어월에서는 오는 31일까지 상영된다.
빙그레 관계자는 "독립을 위해 모든 것을 바쳤으나 고국으로 돌아오지 못한 독립유공자들을 기억하는 계기가 되길 바란다"고 말했다.

Binggrae to Host Special Exhibition ‘Korea’s Most Shining Passport’ Marking 81st Anniversary of Liberation
Binggrae is holding a special exhibition to honor independence activists who carried out independence movements overseas, marking the 81st anniversary of Korea’s liberation.
Binggrae announced that it will operate the independence movement campaign special exhibition, ‘Korea’s Most Shining Passport,’ on the first floor of the Baekbeom Kim Gu Memorial Hall Exhibition Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, from August 11 to October 11.
This exhibition will display the ‘Honorary Passports’ of 30 independence activists who passed away while conducting independence movements abroad without a passport bearing the name of their homeland.
Based on records from the Electronic Archives of Merit, Binggrae selected 30 independence activists who died while active overseas, received the Order of Merit for National Foundation (Independence Medal) or higher, and for whom photographic records remain.
The Honorary Passports were created using actual South Korean passports as a motif, reflecting the historical context in which independence activists at the time crossed borders using foreign identification cards or temporary certificates. On July 18, Binggrae held a ceremony at the Independence Hall of Korea to present honorary passports to seven representatives of descendants of independence activists. Honorary passports for four activists who were unable to attend the ceremony will be delivered in person to their descendant representatives.
A campaign video was also released. Released on August 1, the video recorded approximately 7 million cumulative views in just 10 days.
The video can be viewed on Binggrae's official YouTube channel and social media platforms. It will be screened at the media wall of Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 until the 15th and at the Seoul National Cemetery until the 31st.
A Binggrae official stated, "We hope this serves as an opportunity to remember the independence activists who sacrificed everything for independence but were unable to return to their homeland."
