【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구어린이세상이 교육과 체험 프로그램을 대폭 확장하며 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 복합문화공간으로 자리를 잡아가고 있다. 지역 대학 및 다양한 기관과의 협력도 한층 강화한 모습을 보이고 있다.
12일 대구행복진흥원은 대구어린이세상이 지난해 재개관 이후 '꿈누리관'을 중심으로 어린이를 위한 교육·체험 콘텐츠를 꾸준히 확대하고 있다고 밝혔다. 올해 1월부터 7월까지 이곳을 찾은 방문객은 7만408명에 달한다.
주요 프로그램인 '마인즈온'은 이전 5개 과정에서 9개 과정으로 늘어났다. 오감놀이, 키즈쿠킹 등 아이들이 직접 참여할 수 있는 체험형 프로그램을 추가해 교육과 놀이를 결합한 콘텐츠가 눈에 띄게 풍성해졌다.
지역 대학이나 협력 기관과의 네트워크도 넓어지고 있다. 대구영상미디어센터와 함께 미디어 체험 프로그램을 운영 중이며, 대구대학교, 대구교육대학교와 연계한 영어놀이 및 전문 프로그램도 정기적으로 진행 중이다. 앞으로는 영남대학교, 대구대학교 심리학과 등과 함께 아동 대상 교육 콘텐츠의 전문성도 강화할 계획이다.
외부 기관과 연계한 다양한 체험 활동도 마련됐다. KB금융그룹 어린이 경제교실, 보건복지부 유아 흡연위해 예방 체험관, iM뱅크 가족봉사단의 ESG 탄소중립 캠페인 등 알차고 다양한 활동이 이어졌다.
또한 대구문화예술진흥원의 ‘예술로 대구’ 공모사업, 해양교육 교구 보급 사업에도 선정되어 외부 공모사업을 통한 체험 콘텐츠 확장에도 박차를 가하고 있다.
대구어린이세상은 이러한 프로그램들과 지역사회와의 협력을 기반으로, 어린이에게는 새로운 학습의 기회를, 가족에게는 함께 체험하고 즐길 수 있는 공간을 제공하는 복합문화공간으로 역할을 넓혀나갈 예정이다.
김수희 대구어린이세상 관장은 “1983년 시민들이 뜻을 모아 만든 설립 정신을 이어 받고 있다”며 “어린이들에게는 다양한 배움과 경험을, 가족들에게는 잊지 못할 추억을 선물하는 행복한 공간이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

Based on these programs and cooperation with the local community, Daegu Children's World plans to expand its role as a multi-cultural space that offers new learning opportunities for children and a space for families to experience and enjoy together.
Kim Su-hee, Director of Daegu Children's World, stated, "We are carrying on the founding spirit established by citizens coming together in 1983," adding, "We will strive to become a happy space that presents diverse learning and experiences to children and unforgettable memories to families."
