12일 포천시에 따르면, 시는 지난 11일 ‘두런두런 일동’에서 ‘2026년 제1회 일동초등학교 수영장 운영협의회’를 열고 본격적인 운영 체계 구축에 나섰다.

이날 회의에는 백영현 포천시장을 비롯해 교육계, 체육계, 지역 주민 대표 등 위촉된 운영협의회 위원 10명이 참석했다. 백 시장은 위원들에게 직접 위촉장을 수여하며 학교복합시설로서의 성공적인 정착을 위한 적극적인 협조를 당부했다.
이번 운영협의회는 일동초등학교 수영장이 학생들에게는 생존수영 등 교육의 터전으로, 지역 주민들에게는 건강 증진을 위한 생활체육 공간으로 동시에 활용되는 만큼, 양측의 이용 편의를 조화시키고 효율적인 관리 방안을 마련하기 위해 구성됐다.
백영현 포천시장은 “일동초 수영장은 아이들의 건강한 성장을 돕는 배움터이자, 주민 여러분이 일상 속에서 활력을 찾는 생활체육 공간”이라며 “학교와 지역사회가 이용 공간을 공유하는 시설인 만큼, 위원분들과 지속적으로 소통하며 누구나 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 안전하고 효율적인 운영 모델을 정립해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.
