(재)경북테크노파크는 중소벤처기업부가 실시한 ‘2025년 지역 스마트제조혁신센터 성과평가’에서 최고등급인 S등급을 받았다고 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 스마트제조혁신센터의 사업 운영 전반을 대상으로 이뤄졌다. 경북테크노파크는 지원기업 발굴과 사업관리, 사업비 집행·정산, 스마트공장 활용도 향상, DX멘토단 운영 등을 비롯해 지역 제조혁신 생태계 조성과 지방자치단체 협력, 성과 확산 및 우수사례 발굴 등의 분야에서 종합적인 성과를 인정받았다.
경북스마트제조혁신센터는 기업의 규모와 제조 수준에 따라 필요한 지원을 받을 수 있도록 스마트공장 구축부터 고도화까지 다양한 사업을 연계해 왔다. 정부 스마트공장 구축 지원을 비롯해 제조AI 특화 스마트공장, 자율형공장, 디지털협업공장, 지자체 스마트공장 사업 등을 통해 지역 기업의 제조환경에 맞춘 지원체계를 운영하고 있다.
최근에는 기존 디지털 전환(DX) 중심의 제조혁신을 넘어 인공지능을 활용한 산업 전환(AX) 지원에도 사업 영역을 넓히고 있다.
대표적인 분야가 자율형공장이다. 경북테크노파크는 최근 3년간 자율제조 관련 과제를 발굴하고 사업 기획 단계부터 구축과 성과관리까지 전 과정을 지원하며 지역 제조현장에 AI 기반 자율제조 모델을 확산해 왔다.
제조AI 특화 스마트공장 구축 지원도 확대하고 있다. 지난해부터 관련 사업을 본격적으로 추진하는 한편, 첨단항공방위산업 등 특정 산업 분야의 특성을 반영한 AI 기반 공장 구축 지원으로 범위를 넓히고 있다.
경상북도와 시·군 등 지방자치단체와의 협력도 강화하고 있다. 지역별 스마트공장 지원사업을 확대하는 동시에 기업의 비용 부담을 낮추기 위한 지원을 병행하고, 기초 단계의 스마트화부터 고도화 수준까지 기업의 성장 단계에 따른 지원을 이어가고 있다.
지역특화형 스마트공장 사업을 통해서는 피지컬AI 기술을 제조현장에 적용할 수 있는 기반 구축도 지원하고 있다.
국내 제조기업 지원에 그치지 않고 해외 협력으로 활동 범위도 확대하는 추세다. 경북테크노파크 스마트제조혁신센터는 스마트제조혁신 사업과 연계해 ODA 사업과 AX 협업지원사업 등을 추진하면서 제조데이터 활용 확대와 글로벌 제조혁신 협력 기반 마련, AI 기술 전문기업의 해외시장 진출 등을 지원하고 있다.
하인성 경북테크노파크 원장은 “7년 연속 S등급은 지역 제조기업과 함께 축적해 온 제조혁신 성과를 대외적으로 인정받은 결과”라며 “앞으로 제조AI와 AI 에이전트, 온디바이스AI 등 차세대 기술을 지역 산업 현장에 확산하고 정부와 지자체 사업을 유기적으로 연결해 제조기업의 AX 전환과 자율제조 역량 강화를 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeongbuk Technopark has maintained the highest grade for seven consecutive years, receiving recognition for its achievements in supporting the smartification of local manufacturing companies and AI-based manufacturing innovation.
The Gyeongbuk Technopark Foundation announced that it received the highest grade, ‘S Grade,’ in the ‘2025 Regional Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center Performance Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
This evaluation covered the overall business operations of the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center. Gyeongbuk Technopark was recognized for its comprehensive achievements in various fields, including identifying supported companies, project management, budget execution and settlement, enhancing smart factory utilization, and operating the DX Mentoring Team, as well as fostering a regional manufacturing innovation ecosystem, cooperating with local governments, disseminating results, and identifying best practices.
The Gyeongbuk Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center has linked various projects, ranging from the establishment to the advancement of smart factories, to ensure that companies receive the necessary support tailored to their size and manufacturing capabilities. We are operating a support system tailored to the manufacturing environments of local companies through initiatives such as government support for smart factory construction, manufacturing AI-specialized smart factories, autonomous factories, digital collaboration factories, and local government smart factory projects.
Recently, we have been expanding our business scope beyond manufacturing innovation centered on Digital Transformation (DX) to include support for Industrial Transformation (AX) utilizing artificial intelligence.
A representative field is the autonomous factory. Over the past three years, Gyeongbuk Technopark has been identifying projects related to autonomous manufacturing and supporting the entire process from the planning stage to construction and performance management, thereby spreading AI-based autonomous manufacturing models to local manufacturing sites.
We are also expanding support for the construction of manufacturing AI-specialized smart factories. While actively pursuing related projects since last year, we are broadening the scope to include support for building AI-based factories that reflect the characteristics of specific industrial sectors, such as the advanced aerospace and defense industry.
We are also strengthening cooperation with local governments, including Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and cities and counties. We are expanding regional smart factory support programs while simultaneously providing assistance to reduce the cost burden on companies. Furthermore, we are continuing to provide support tailored to the growth stages of companies, ranging from basic smartification to advanced levels. Through the Regional Specialized Smart Factory Project, support is also being provided for establishing a foundation to apply Physical AI technology to manufacturing sites.
The scope of activities is expanding beyond supporting domestic manufacturing companies to include international cooperation. The Gyeongbuk Technopark Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center is promoting ODA projects and AX collaboration support projects in conjunction with the Smart Manufacturing Innovation Project. This initiative supports the expanded utilization of manufacturing data, the establishment of a foundation for global manufacturing innovation cooperation, and the entry of specialized AI technology companies into overseas markets.
Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, "Achieving an S grade for seven consecutive years is the result of external recognition for the manufacturing innovation achievements accumulated together with local manufacturing companies." He added, "Going forward, we will disseminate next-generation technologies such as manufacturing AI, AI agents, and on-device AI to local industrial sites. By organically linking government and local government projects, we will support manufacturing companies' transition to AX and the strengthening of their autonomous manufacturing capabilities."
