김천시시설관리공단은 행정안전부가 전국 지방공기업 268곳을 대상으로 실시한 2026년도 경영평가에서 ‘나’등급을 획득했다고 밝혔다.
공단의 종전 평가 등급은 ‘다’등급으로, 이번 평가에서 한 단계 올라섰다. 설립 이후 받은 평가 가운데 가장 높은 수준이다.
이번 평가는 지방공기업의 경영관리와 사업 성과를 종합적으로 점검하는 방식으로 진행됐다. 특히 안전관리와 지역사회 상생·협력, 주민이 실제로 체감할 수 있는 공공서비스 분야의 평가 비중이 확대됐다.
김천시시설관리공단은 지난해 안전 분야의 관리체계를 강화하고 시설 운영의 효율성을 높이는 데 중점을 뒀다. 별도의 안전파트를 운영하는 한편 드론을 활용한 스마트 안전점검 등을 도입해 재난과 안전사고에 대한 대응 역량을 높였다.
윤리경영과 인권경영 분야에서도 제도적 기반을 강화했다. 부패방지경영시스템 ISO37001 인증을 비롯해 공정채용 우수기관 인증을 3년 연속 유지했으며, 인권경영시스템 인증도 새롭게 취득했다.
지역사회와의 연계 활동도 평가에 긍정적으로 작용했다. 공단은 지난해 81개 국제·전국 규모 대회의 개최와 운영을 지원했으며, 이를 통해 약 610억원 규모의 지역경제 파급효과를 만들어냈다고 설명했다.
이와 함께 시민들이 이용하는 공공시설의 서비스 품질을 높이고 시설 운영 방식을 개선하는 한편, 안전관리와 윤리·인권경영을 강화하는 사업도 지속적으로 추진했다. 지역사회와의 협력 관계를 확대하며 지방공기업으로서 요구되는 사회적 책임을 이행하는 데도 힘을 쏟았다.
김재광 이사장은 “이번 평가 결과는 시민들에게 보다 나은 공공서비스를 제공하기 위해 임직원 모두가 각자의 자리에서 노력한 결과”라며 “현재 성과에 안주하지 않고 경영혁신과 서비스 개선을 지속해 시민들에게 신뢰받는 공기업으로 발전하겠다”고 말했다.

Chairman Kim Jae-kwang stated, "This evaluation result is the outcome of the efforts made by all employees in their respective roles to provide better public services to citizens," adding, "We will not rest on our current achievements but will continue management innovation and service improvements to develop into a public enterprise trusted by citizens."
