브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 삼성전자가 한국철도공사(코레일)와 손잡고 실물 종이 없는 스마트한 철도 이용 환경 조성에 나선다.
삼성전자는 10일부터 코레일과 협업해 ‘종이 없는 승차권’ 서비스를 공식 시작한다고 밝혔다. 이번 서비스는 국내 모바일 탑승권 최초로 지원되는 기능으로, 사용자가 오프라인 및 온라인에서 발권한 승차권을 삼성 월렛에 담아 이용할 수 있도록 지원한다.
앞으로 고객들은 역 창구를 방문해 실물 종이(지류) 승차권을 발급받는 번거로움 없이 삼성 월렛을 통해 모바일 승차권으로 탑승할 수 있다.
삼성 월렛에서 사전에 이용 동의를 마친 고객이 전국 코레일 역사 오프라인 창구에서 삼성 월렛으로 승차권을 결제하면, 모바일 승차권이 삼성 월렛에 자동으로 추가된다.
아울러 지난 3일 출시된 코레일과 에스알(SR) 통합 앱인 ‘코레일+’에서 발권한 코레일 승차권 역시 삼성 월렛의 ‘Add to Wallet’ 기능을 이용해 추가할 수 있다.
SRT는 오는 9월 1일부터 고속철도 통합에 따라 KTX-산천으로 변경되며, 9월 운행분 승차권부터 삼성 월렛 추가가 가능해질 예정이다.
삼성전자는 이번 서비스에 탑승객의 편의를 높이는 다양한 부가 기능도 담았다. 삼성 월렛 내에서 모바일 승차권의 반환(환불) 처리가 가능해져 일정 변경 시 유연한 대처가 가능하다.
또한, 삼성 월렛에 추가된 모바일 승차권은 갤럭시 기기의 캘린더 및 나우 브리프(Now Brief)와 연동된다. 이를 통해 탑승 시간 사전 알림을 제공받아 여행 일정을 체계적으로 관리할 수 있다.
