HXD화성개발은 24일 대한주택건설협회와 주택도시보증공사(HUG) 주관으로 서울 여의도 FKI타워에서 개최된 ‘2026년 국가유공자 노후주택보수 및 임차자금지원 기념식’에서 주거 여건 개선 공로를 인정받아 표창을 받았다고 전했다.

올해로 33회째를 맞이한 이 사업은 생활 형편이 어려운 국가유공자의 주거 안정을 돕고 나라를 위해 헌신한 이들을 예우하기 위해 마련된 민·관 협력 프로젝트다. 올해는 노후주택 무료 보수에 참여한 전국 36개 주택업체에 정부 표창과 감사패가 돌아갔다.
HXD화성개발은 지난 2011년부터 대구지방보훈청과 손잡고 14년째 국가유공자 노후주택 보수지원사업을 꾸준히 펼쳐왔다. 2013년 국토교통부 장관 표창, 2022년 국무총리 표창에 이어 올해 대통령 표창까지 수상하며 기업의 사회적 책임을 성실히 이행해 온 점을 높이 평가받았다.
올해 역시 호국보훈의 달인 6월을 맞아 임직원들이 직접 대구 북구의 전상군경 유족 가정을 찾아 노후 주택을 전면 보수하는 등 현장 중심의 봉사를 전개했다.

HXD Hwaseong Development has demonstrated exemplary win-win management by receiving the ‘Presidential Commendation’ in recognition of its contributions to housing environment improvement projects for marginalized veteran families.
HXD Hwaseong Development announced that it received the commendation on the 24th at the ‘2026 Commemoration Ceremony for the Repair of Aging Homes and Rental Fund Support for National Meritorious Persons,’ held at the FKI Tower in Yeouido, Seoul, organized by the Korea Housing Builders Association and the Housing & Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG), in recognition of its efforts to improve housing conditions.
This project, marking its 33rd year, is a public-private partnership initiative designed to help stabilize the housing of national meritorious persons facing financial hardship and to honor those who have dedicated themselves to the country. This year, government commendations and plaques of appreciation were presented to 36 housing companies nationwide that participated in the free repair of aging homes.
HXD Hwaseong Development has consistently carried out a home repair support project for aging veterans for 14 years, partnering with the Daegu Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs since 2011. The company was highly praised for faithfully fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, receiving the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Commendation in 2013, the Prime Minister's Commendation in 2022, and the Presidential Commendation this year.
Once again this year, coinciding with June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans, employees conducted field-oriented volunteer work, including personally visiting the bereaved families of wounded veterans in Buk-gu, Daegu, to carry out comprehensive repairs to their aging homes.
Kim Chang-hee, CEO of HXD Hwaseong Development, stated, "It is meaningful that the entire community can come together to provide tangible assistance to the lives of veterans," adding, "We will fulfill our corporate social responsibility through sustainable social contribution activities, rather than limiting ourselves to one-off events."
