Pocheon Young Single-Person Households Regain Health Confidence Through 'Pokssak Salbaessuda'

Operating Customized Exercise Program in Partnership with CHA University... "Expanded Schedule for Second Half"

<Break News Pocheon = Reporter Lee Yong-ha> Pocheon City has stepped up as a "relief pitcher" for young single-person households who are prone to neglecting their health management amidst a harsh reality marked by high inflation and housing costs.

The Pocheon Family Center, a provider of greater happiness, announced on the 17th that it has successfully concluded "Pokssak Salbaessuda," a small-group customized exercise program for young single-person households aged 20 to 40, which ran for two months starting in April.

This program was designed to provide systematic management opportunities to young people who had hesitated to engage in professional exercise due to economic reasons. It sought differentiation by going beyond simple exercise instruction to provide professional coaching through collaboration with the Department of Sports Medicine at CHA University.

Participants received training over 16 sessions in small groups divided by gender. Particularly noteworthy was the center's "close management." The person in charge constantly motivated the participants by encouraging them to verify their diet and exercise routines via group chat and providing supplemental drinks. As a result, clear physical changes were confirmed in pre- and post-program InBody measurements, including a reduction in weight and body fat as well as an improvement in muscle strength.

One young participant in the program gave a positive review, stating, "I couldn't even dream of professional exercise due to financial constraints, but thanks to this program, I received great help with managing my health." He added, "The meticulous care provided by the instructors and staff was a great source of strength. I hope more effective programs like this will be created."

Choi Seon-hee, Director of the Pocheon Family Center (also serving as Head of the Family and Women's Affairs Division), stated, "We have confirmed the high satisfaction with this program, which supports the healthy lifestyles of young single-person households." She added, "As requests for additional sessions are pouring in from participants, we will significantly expand health programs for single-person households in the coming second half of the year."

Meanwhile, the Pocheon Family Center, located at the Bandabi Sports Center in Gunnae-myeon, operates various family services, including family counseling and parent education, in addition to supporting single-person households. For further details, please contact the Center at 031-538-3380~2.
