이날 위원회는 북방면 국가 항체 클러스터를 찾아 1단계 준공 현황을 살피고, '바이오 허브 도시 도약'을 위한 기업 유치와 일자리 창출 방안을 심도 있게 논의했다. 이어 홍천읍 원도심 재정비촉진지구에서는 정주 환경 개선과 도시 경쟁력 강화를 위한 정책적 제언을 아끼지 않았다.
또한 10개 읍면 전체 조성을 목표로 추진 중인 두촌면 파크골프장 현장을 방문해 안전 및 편의시설 표준화 방안을 검토했으며, 101만 평 규모의 군유림을 찾아 산림 소득원 발굴 및 특산품 육성 등 고부가가치화 전략을 논의했다.
신영재 홍천군수는 “민선 9기 군정은 책상이 아닌 현장에서 답을 찾아야 한다”며, “주요 공약이 군민들이 체감할 수 있는 실질적인 성과로 이어지도록 차질 없이 준비하겠다”고 강조했다.
