브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 카카오 노동조합이 창사 이래 처음으로 본사 부분파업에 돌입했다. 카카오 본사를 비롯해 카카오페이, 카카오엔터프라이즈 등 주요 계열사 4곳의 노조도 동참했다.
민주노총 전국화학섬유식품산업노동조합 카카오지회는 10일 오전 10시부터 부분파업을 시작했다고 밝혔다. 파업은 점심시간을 제외한 오후 3시까지 4시간 동안만 진행된다.
카카오 본사 노조가 파업에 나선 것은 2006년 창사 이후 처음이다. 지난해 카카오모빌리티 노조가 파업을 진행한 사례는 있었지만 본사 차원의 파업은 이번이 처음이다.
이번 파업에는 임금 협상이 결렬된 카카오페이, 카카오엔터프라이즈, 디케이테크인, 엑스엘게임즈 노조도 함께 참여했다. 노조는 파업과 함께 이날 오전 11시 30분경 경기 성남시 판교역 일대에서 점심시간을 활용한 행진 집회를 진행할 예정이다.
다만 이번 파업으로 카카오톡, 카카오맵 등 주요 서비스의 운영 차질이 발생할 가능성은 낮아 보인다.
부분파업 시간이 제한적이고 회사 측에서도 비상 대응 체계를 가동하고 있어 서비스 장애 가능성은 크지 않을 것이라는 게 업계의 시각이다.
정신아 카카오 대표도 서비스 장애 예방을 최우선 과제로 강조하며 만일의 상황에 대비할 것을 당부한 것으로 알려졌다.
카카오 관계자는 "안정적인 서비스 운영과 고객 영향 최소화를 위해 실시간 대응 체계를 가동하고 있다"며 "조속한 합의를 위해 노조와 지속적으로 대화하며 협의를 이어갈 예정"이라고 밝혔다.
한편 이번 파업은 카카오 노사간 임금 협상이 난항을 겪는 가운제 진행됐다는 점에서, 향후 협상 결과에 따라 노사 갈등이 장기화나 대대적인 파업 가능성도 존재한다.
