(무안=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남개발공사가 추진하는 ‘담양 보촌지구 도시개발사업’이 행정절차를 모두 마무리하고 이달 중 본격적인 착공에 들어간다.
전남개발공사는 지난 5일 전라남도로부터 담양 보촌지구 도시개발사업에 대한 실시계획 인가를 받았다고 밝혔다. 이로써 공사는 공공개발을 통한 지역민 주거복지 향상과 정주여건 개선을 위한 사업을 본격화할 수 있게 됐다.
담양 보촌지구 도시개발사업은 담양군 고서면 보촌리 일원 72만 4,223㎡(약 22만 평) 부지에 총 2,689세대 규모의 친환경 주거단지를 조성하는 대규모 프로젝트다.
공사는 지난 2017년 12월 담양군과 투자협약(MOU)을 체결한 이후 사업을 본격적인 궤도에 올렸다. 사업시행자로 참여한 이래 전남도 및 담양군과 긴밀한 공조 체계를 구축하고, 개발제한구역(그린벨트) 해제를 비롯해 도시개발구역 지정, 개발계획 승인, 실시계획 인가까지 복잡한 행정절차를 차질 없이 완수해 왔다.
현재 공사는 협의보상 절차를 모두 완료했으며, 잔여 토지에 대한 수용재결 절차를 밟는 등 보상 마무리 작업과 함께 사업 추진에 속도를 내고 있다. 단지 조성공사는 이달(6월) 중 첫 삽을 뜨며, 오는 2030년 준공을 목표로 달려갈 예정이다.
