충남 당진 지역의 새로운 치안 총책임자로 소준관 총경이 부임했다.
당진경찰서는 8일 제74대 소준관 서장이 공식 취임해 본격적인 업무에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
전북 익산 출신인 소 서장은 순경 공채로 경찰 제복을 입은 후 현장에서 역량을 쌓아온 인물이다.
전북청 교통계장과 홍보계장, 전남청 치안지도관 등 주요 보직을 두루 거쳤으며, 지난 2016년에는 보령경찰서 생활안전과장으로 재직하는 등 충남 지역의 치안 여건에 대한 이해도가 매우 깊다는 평을 받고 있다.
소 서장은 취임식에서 내부 결속과 시민 중심의 치안 체계 구축을 강조했다.
그는 "조직 구성원 간의 원활한 소통과 화합을 바탕으로 건강한 조직문화를 만드는 데 앞장서겠다"며 "내부적으로 서로 존중하는 분위기를 조성해 궁극적으로 시민에게 신뢰와 사랑을 받는 당진 경찰을 만들겠다"고 포부를 전했다.
아울러 향후 민생 치안 방향에 대해서는 사회적 약자 보호와 현장 중심의 소통을 핵심 과제로 꼽았다.
소 서장은 "아동, 여성, 노인 등 범죄 취약 계층을 겨냥한 범죄는 예방 단계부터 피해자 보호까지 빈틈없이 대응하겠다"고 약속하며, "늘 시민의 눈높이에서 호흡하고 낮은 자세로 귀를 기울이며, 강한 사명감을 바탕으로 시민이 안심하고 의지할 수 있는 든든한 동반자가 되겠다"고 강조했다.
