군은 국가지정문화유산 보물인 수타사 대적광전의 현재 모습을 정밀하게 기록하고 향후 보수·정비의 척도로 삼기 위해 「홍천 수타사 대적광전 정밀실측조사 용역」에 착수했다고 밝혔다.
영귀미면 수타사에 자리한 대적광전은 조선 후기의 건축 양식을 고스란히 간직한 정면 3칸, 측면 3칸 규모의 다포계 팔작지붕 건물이다. 그 건축적·역사적 비중을 두루 인정받아 지난 1971년 강원도 유형문화재로 지정된 데 이어, 올해 2월 28일 국가지정문화유산 보물로 당당히 승격된 바 있다.
이번 정밀실측조사는 보물 승격에 따른 핵심 후속 조치다. 오는 12월 24일까지 1억 7,169만 원의 사업비를 투입해 건축사무소 천지원이 용역을 전담한다.
조사팀은 대적광전의 현황을 면밀히 파악하고, 최첨단 정밀 실측을 통한 도면 작성, 사진 촬영 및 데이터 분석을 진행한다. 이를 통해 문화유산의 정확한 규모와 구조, 부재별 특징, 축조 기법 등을 세밀하게 기록하게 된다. 수집된 데이터는 화재나 자연재난 등 유사시를 대비한 완벽한 복원 자료이자, 향후 문화유산 정책 수립의 핵심 뼈대로 활용될 예정이다.
