<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 횡성군과 횡성문화관광재단이 지역 관광에 새 바람을 불어넣을 로컬 전문가 양성에 본격적으로 팔을 걷어붙였다.
재단은 4일부터 오는 18일까지 지역관광 전문가 양성 프로그램인 ‘2026 횡성로컬아카데미 : 함께 만드는 지역관광’의 참여자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.
모집 대상은 횡성군에 거주하거나 활동 중인 주민, 관광업 종사자, 기획자, 청년 등 농촌관광과 두레 PD 활동에 관심 있는 누구나 신청 가능하다.
이번 아카데미는 오는 7월부터 총 9회차에 걸쳐 전액 무료로 운영된다. 교육 과정은 농촌관광의 이해부터 AI를 활용한 지역 자원 분석, 횡성 관광 최신 트렌드 파악, 로컬 콘텐츠 기획 실습, 우수사례 벤치마킹 등 현장에 즉시 투입 가능한 실무 중심 프로그램으로 알차게 꾸려졌다.
전체 교육 과정의 80% 이상을 이수한 수강생에게는 수료증이 발급되며, 향후 지역 관광 협의체 및 주민 주도 관광 조직으로 성장할 수 있도록 지속적인 네트워킹과 연계 활동이 지원될 예정이다.
횡성문화관광재단 관계자는 "이번 아카데미는 지역관광 콘텐츠 기획의 기초부터 체계적으로 다질 수 있는 절호의 기회"라며 "향후 횡성군의 관광 산업을 이끌어갈 두레 PD와 농촌관광 전문가가 대거 발굴되기를 기대한다"고 전했다.
