[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 올여름 수상레저시설과 어린이 물놀이장을 잇따라 개장하며 생활체육시설 시민 개방에 나선다.
김해시는 오는 7월 대동생태체육공원 내 낙동강 수상레저시설과 8월 김해운동장 어린이 물놀이장을 순차적으로 운영한다고 28일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 2024년 전국체육대회 당시 신축·보수한 체육시설을 시민 여가 공간으로 활용하기 위해 추진된다.
낙동강 수상레저시설은 전국체전 조정경기장으로 사용된 시설이다. 김해시는 그동안 대회 중심으로 활용하던 공간을 시민 체험형 수상레포츠 시설로 전환한다는 계획이다.
시는 수상레저 운영을 위해 관련 조례 정비와 함께 수상스포츠 전문가를 임기제 공무원으로 채용했으며, 그늘막과 탈의실 등 편의시설도 확충했다.
시설은 오는 7월부터 10월까지 무료 시범 운영된다. 수상스키와 웨이크보드 등 동력기구와 조정 체험 등 비동력 프로그램도 단계적으로 확대할 예정이다.
김해시는 내년 2월까지 장비와 교육·체험 프로그램을 추가 도입한 뒤 내년 3월부터 본격 운영할 계획이다.
8월에는 김해운동장 내 어린이 물놀이장이 문을 연다. 시설에는 대형 풀장과 워터슬라이드가 설치되며, 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 무료 운영된다.
이용 대상은 유아와 어린이, 보호자이며 현장에는 푸드트럭 등 편의시설도 함께 운영될 예정이다.
김해시는 최근 전국 규모 체육대회 개최를 통해 구축한 체육 인프라를 시민 생활체육과 여가 공간으로 활용해 나간다는 방침이다.

Gimhae City intends to utilize the sports infrastructure built through the recent hosting of national-scale athletic competitions as a space for citizens' recreational sports and leisure activities.
