<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 이용하 기자> 포천시보건소가 다가오는 세계 금연의 날(5월 31일)을 맞아 지역사회 건강생활 실천 문화를 확산하기 위한 뜻깊은 캠페인을 펼쳤다.
포천시보건소는 지난 20일 이동면 일대에서 이동중학교 학생 및 교사, 금연단속원 등 50여 명과 함께 지역주민을 대상으로 한 ‘금연·절주 캠페인’을 진행했다고 21일 밝혔다.

이번 캠페인은 흡연과 음주의 위험성을 알리고, 주민들의 자발적인 금연·절주 실천을 유도하기 위해 기획됐다. 참가자들은 이동면의 주요 거리와 상가 밀집 지역을 순회하며 홍보물을 배부하고, 금연 환경 조성의 필요성을 적극적으로 홍보했다.
특히 이번 행사는 이동중학교 학생들이 직접 거리에 나서 청소년 흡연 예방과 건강한 성장 환경 조성의 중요성을 어른들에게 호소해 주민들의 큰 호응과 관심을 이끌어냈다.
포천시보건소는 지난해에 이어 올해도 이동중학교와 연계해 캠페인을 성공적으로 마무리했으며, 앞으로도 학교 및 지역사회와 협력하는 건강증진 활동을 지속적으로 이어갈 방침이다.
