<브레이크뉴스 포천 = 이용하 기자> 포천시 소흘읍 행정복지센터가 소흘나들목 등 지역 주요 거점을 중심으로 아름다운 꽃길을 조성하며 도시 경관 개선에 박차를 가하고 있다.
21일 소흘읍에 따르면, 이번 꽃길 조성은 ‘2026년 아름다운 공원 가꾸기 사업’의 일환으로 추진됐다. 시민들에게 쾌적한 생활환경을 제공하고 소흘읍의 도시 브랜드 가치를 높이겠다는 취지다.

소흘읍은 주요 시가지에 비치된 이동식 화분 116개에 산파체스와 메리골드를 식재하고, 통행량이 많은 직동삼거리 등에는 꽃잔디를 심어 생활권 내 녹지 공간을 대폭 확충했다. 특히 지역의 관문 역할을 하는 소흘나들목 입구에는 세 가지 색상의 메리골드로 화단을 조성해 진입로를 밝고 깨끗하게 탈바꿈시켰다.

지역 주민들이 직접 참여하는 ‘마을 가꾸기’ 활동도 눈길을 끈다. 소흘읍은 주민자치회, 바르게살기운동 소흘읍위원회 등 직능단체와 협력해 무궁화와 꽃잔디를 심었다. 또한 이장협의회와 기업인협의회 등에 분양된 튤립 역시 주민들의 정성 어린 관리 속에 만개하며 마을 곳곳에 활기를 불어넣고 있다.
