춘천시는 오는 23일 오후 4시 시청광장에서 춘천의 대표 종합예술 축제인 ‘제33회 봄내예술제’가 화려한 막을 올린다고 19일 밝혔다. (사)한국예술문화단체총연합회 춘천지회가 주최·주관하는 이번 행사는 ‘춘천의 맥(脈), 다시 근본으로’라는 직관적인 슬로건을 내걸었다. 국악, 무용, 연극, 음악, 미술, 사진, 문학 등 7개 전문예술 장르가 총출동해 시민 누구나 무료로 고품격 문화예술을 만끽할 수 있다.
축제의 포문을 여는 개막 퍼포먼스는 ‘춘천의 맥(脈), 봄내의 서(書), 소리로 깨우다’를 주제로 서예와 국악, 무용이 절묘하게 결합된 대형 융복합 무대로 꾸며진다. 가야금과 피리의 깊은 선율 위에 역동적인 춤사위가 얹어지고, 대형 광목 위에 예술의 정체성을 새기는 휘호 퍼포먼스가 더해져 관람객들에게 압도적인 시각적·청각적 경험을 선사할 예정이다.
본 행사에서는 봄내국악제, 봄내무용제, 뮤지컬 갈라쇼로 꾸며지는 봄내연극, 봄내음악회 등 장르별 경계를 넘나드는 다채로운 공연이 연이어 펼쳐진다. 여기에 태권도 시범단의 강렬한 무대와 초청가수 공연까지 더해져 축제의 열기를 한층 더 고조시킬 전망이다. 특히 올해는 춘천 고유의 로컬 브랜드와 커피 문화, 태권도 등 지역 특화 자산과 예술을 접목시켜 시민들이 일상 속에서 문화적 자부심을 자연스럽게 체감할 수 있도록 기획한 점이 돋보인다.
풍성한 연계 전시와 체험 행사도 축제를 더욱 풍요롭게 만든다. 오는 27일까지 춘천미술관과 아트프라자갤러리에서 열리는 ‘봄내미술인전’에는 한국화와 서양화를 비롯해 조소, 공예, 민화, 캘리그래피 등 시각예술 전 분야를 아우르는 252점의 대규모 작품이 출품돼 관람객들을 맞이한다.
아울러 시청 거리 일대에서 펼쳐지는 봄내 거리 시화전(23일까지)과 봄내 포토 페스타(29일~6월 2일)가 순차적으로 이어지며 도시 전역을 예술의 향기로 물들일 예정이다. 이외에도 ‘맥 취향상점’, 커피 오감 체험, 문화문집 ‘봄꿈’ 배포 등 오감을 만족시키는 시민 참여형 부대행사도 풍성하게 운영된다.
지난 1994년 첫 발을 내딛은 이후 올해로 33회째를 맞이한 봄내예술제는 명실상부한 춘천의 대표 복합문화예술제로 자리매김해 왔다.
