가평군은 지난 16일 한석봉도서관 3층 담소마당에서 진행된 ‘북 피크닉’ 행사가 군민들의 적극적인 참여 속에 성황리에 마무리됐다고 19일 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 주민들이 캠핑과 피크닉 분위기 속에서 책과 문화를 자연스럽게 즐길 수 있도록 기획됐다. 도서관 측은 이번 행사를 통해 도서관 내 휴식 공간인 정원의 새로운 활용 가능성을 성공적으로 보여줬다는 평가를 받았다.
이날 북 피크닉에는 가족 단위 군민 등 120여 명이 참여했다. 참가자들은 캠핑 의자와 돗자리가 마련된 야외 피크닉존에서 휴식을 취하며 자유로운 독서 시간을 가졌다. 함께 마련된 독서존에서는 ‘5월 추천 도서 전시’와 ‘미스터리 북 대여 행사’가 진행돼 군민들이 평소 접하지 못했던 다양한 도서를 흥미롭게 만날 수 있는 기회를 제공했다.
