민 후보는 18일 동신대학교 혁신융합캠퍼스에서 개최된 ‘전남·광주 농정대전환 정책 타운홀미팅’에 초청받아 농민, 시민단체, 전문가들과 함께 통합특별시의 미래 농정 방향을 심도 있게 논의했다.
이날 행사는 기존의 전문가 중심 일방 통행식 정책 제안에서 벗어나, 농민과 현장 주체들이 직접 문제를 제기하고 우선순위를 정하는 숙의형 타운홀 방식으로 진행돼 주목을 받았다.
토론회에서는 ▲청년농·후계농 ▲여성농민 ▲농업소득 ▲유통·지역먹거리 ▲기후위기 대응·스마트팜 등 총 5개 분야의 핵심 의제가 다뤄졌다.

민형배 후보는 현장의 목소리에 적극 공감하며 “전남 친환경 농산물 유통 문제가 30년 전과 크게 달라지지 않았다는 현실에 답답함을 느낀다”며 “계획 생산과 안정적 유통 체계가 구축되지 못한 현 구조를 반드시 혁신하겠다”고 약속했다.
