[브레이크뉴스=양영석 기자] 김해시가 지역 골프 유망주 육성을 위해 민간 골프장·체육단체와 손잡고 지원에 나섰다.
김해시는 14일 가야컨트리클럽에서 김해시골프협회, 가야컨트리클럽과 ‘골프 영재 지원 업무협약’을 체결했다.
협약에 따라 유지은(경원고 1학년) 선수와 김사라(월산중 3학년) 선수는 앞으로 2년간 가야컨트리클럽을 회원가로 이용할 수 있게 된다.
시는 학생 선수들이 부담이 큰 라운딩 비용을 줄이고 실전 훈련 기회를 확대하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
김해시는 그동안 공공헬스장 훈련환경 제공 등 지역 유망 선수 지원을 이어왔으며, 이번 협약을 계기로 지원 체계를 확대할 계획이다.
김해시 관계자는 “지역 골프 유망주들이 안정적인 환경에서 훈련하며 성장할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
