브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 가수 우즈(WOODZ·본명 조승연) 측이 월드투어 해외 콘서트 ‘무급 스태프 구인‘ 논란에 대해 사과했다.
우즈의 소속사 EDAM엔터테인먼트는 8일 브레이크뉴스에 “관련 내용에 대해 현지 공연 주관사 측에 사실관계를 확인했다. 당사가 사전에 해당 내용을 충분히 살피지 못한 부분에 대해 송구스럽게 생각한다”고 전했다.
이어 “현지 공연 운영상 미흡한 부분에 대해서는 현지 공연 주관사 측과 긴밀히 협의해 필요한 조치가 이뤄질 수 있도록 하겠다”며 “향후 공연 운영 과정 전반이 원활하게 진행될 수 있도록 현지와의 소통을 강화하고, 보다 면밀히 확인하고 꼼꼼히 살피겠다”고 덧붙였다.
최근 각종 온라인 커뮤니티와 SNS(사회관계망서비스)를 통해 우즈 측이 월드투어 독일 공연 스태프를 모집하기 위해 올린 공고 글이 확산됐다.
해당 글은 자신이 우즈 콘서트 담당자의 지인이라고 주장한 A씨가 작성한 것으로 알려졌다. 모집 내용을 살펴보면 관객 질서 유지, MD 부스 관리 등 현장 업무에 배정된다고 안내된다.
특히 한국어·독일어·영어 가능자, K팝 공연 경력, 조명·음향 관련 지식 보유자라는 구체적인 조건이 적혀 있지만, 정작 보수는 ’무급’이고, 식사 제공과 공연 관람이 가능하다는 내용이 담겨 있어 논란을 빚었다.
한편, 우즈는 지난 3월 인천 영종도 인스파이어 아레나 공연을 시작으로 월드투어 ‘Archive. 1’을 진행 중이다.
