[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 지방선거 전 '부산글로벌허브도시특별법' 입법이 사실상 무산되면서, "'결과로 보여주겠다'던 민주당의 호언장담이 부산 시민을 향한 파렴치한 공수표였음이 천하에 드러났다."
국민의힘 박형준 부산시장 후보 수석대변인 서지영 의원(동래구)은 7일 논평을 통해 부산의 백년대계를 가로막은 민주당과 전재수 후보를 이같이 규탄했다.
서 수석대변인은 이번 사태를 부산의 미래를 망친 명백한 정치적 배신으로 규정하고 민주당의 기만적인 행태에 대한 즉각적인 사죄를 촉구했다.
"재설계 운운하며 딴지 거는 민주당의 무능과 기만"
서 수석대변인은 민주당이 뒤늦게 재설계 필요나 기능 중첩 등을 언급하며 법안 처리에 딴지를 걸고 있는 현실을 강하게 비판했다. "100% 통과를 확신한다며 부산 전역을 장밋빛 환상으로 물들일 때는 해당 사실을 몰랐느냐"고 반문하며 "몰랐다면 무능한 것이고 알고도 그랬다면 330만 부산 시민을 대놓고 기만한 것"이라고 질타했다.
특히 민주당에게 '부산은 달면 삼키고 쓰면 뱉는 선거용 소모품'일 뿐이라며 이헌승 의원의 지적처럼 오직 필요할 때만 쓰는 도구로 부산을 이용하고 있다고 비난했다.
"자신들 법안만 챙기는 이기적 선택적 부산 사랑"
서 수석대변인은 민주당이 자신들의 선거용 생색내기 법안인 북극항로특별법 하나만 쏙 골라 통과 궤도에 올려놓은 점을 꼬집었다. 반면 부산과 부울경의 사활이 걸린 우주항공복합도시 특별법과 남해안권발전 특별법은 모두 상임위 문턱조차 넘지 못하고 멈춰 서 있는 실정이다.
서 수석대변인은 부울경의 미래를 인질로 삼아 자신들의 정치적 이익만 챙기는 민주당의 이기적인 행태가 바로 그들이 외치는 선택적 부산 사랑의 실체라고 그 민낯을 폭로했다.

"전재수 후보의 무책임한 약속 파기, 즉각 사죄하라"
직접 법안을 공동대표 발의하며 직접 매듭짓겠다 최선을 다하겠다고 공언했던 전재수 후보에 대한 책임 추궁도 이어졌다. 본인이 직접 발의한 법안조차 지켜내지 못한 전 후보는 이제 이 참담한 결과 앞에 당당히 나서서 해명해야 한다고 강조했다.
서 수석대변인은 화려한 SNS 문구로 부산 시민의 눈과 귀를 가릴 수 있다고 생각한다면 큰 오산이라며 전재수 후보와 민주당은 지금 즉시 부산 시민 앞에 무릎 꿇고 사죄하라고 요구했다. 부산 시민은 더 이상 감언이설에 속지 않으며 이번 사태를 부산의 미래를 망친 배신 행위로 똑똑히 기억할 것이라고 경고했다.

As the "Global Hub City Special Act" failed to pass before the local elections, the Democratic Party's "Selective Love for Busan" and Candidate Jun Jae-soo's irresponsible "empty promises" have sparked outrage among Busan citizens.
Seo Ji-young, Chief Spokesperson for People Power Party Busan Mayoral Candidate Park Heong-joon, released a commentary strongly condemning the Democratic Party and Candidate Jun Jae-soo for blocking Busan's long-term future. Seo stated that the grand declarations of "getting it done" and "showing results" have proven to be nothing more than shameless empty promises targeting the people of Busan.
Criticizing the Democratic Party’s Incompetence and Deception
Seo Ji-young criticized the Democratic Party for belatedly hindering the bill’s progress by citing excuses such as the "need for redesign" and "overlapping functions." She questioned whether they were unaware of these issues when they painted a rosy illusion across Busan, claiming they were "100% certain of its passage." She asserted that if they didn't know, they are incompetent; if they knew and proceeded anyway, they openly deceived 3.3 million Busan citizens.
Furthermore, she lashed out at the Democratic Party, asking if Busan is merely a "disposable election tool" to be used and discarded. Citing Representative Lee Hun-seung’s remarks, she accused the party of treating Busan as an instrument to be utilized only when necessary.
The True Face of "Selfish and Selective Love for Busan"
Seo Ji-young pointed out the stark reality that the Democratic Party selectively advanced only the "Northern Sea Route Special Act"—a bill intended merely for their own electoral credit. In contrast, critical legislation for the future of Busan and the broader region, such as the "Aerospace Complex City Special Act" and the "South Coast Development Special Act," remain stalled, failing to even cross the threshold of the standing committee.
She exposed this behavior as the true nature of their "selective love for Busan," calling it a selfish act that takes the future of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region hostage for their own political gain.
Demanding a Sincere Apology from Candidate Jun Jae-soo
The Chief Spokesperson also directly targeted Candidate Jun Jae-soo, who had publicly pledged to "personally conclude" and "do his best" for the bill he co-sponsored. She emphasized that Candidate Jun, who failed to protect even the bill he proposed himself, must now stand before the public and account for this disastrous result.
Seo Ji-young warned that it is a grave mistake to believe that flashy social media posts can continue to blind the citizens of Busan. She demanded that Candidate Jun and the Democratic Party immediately kneel and apologize to the people of Busan. She concluded by stating that Busan citizens will no longer be deceived by sweet talk and will clearly remember this incident as a "political betrayal" that ruined the city's future.
