청와대가 7일 북한이 헌법 개정을 통해 '통일 조항 삭제·두 국가' 기조를 명문화한 것과 관련해 "한반도 평화 공존 정책을 일관되게 추진해 나갈 것"이라고 밝혔다.
청와대는 이날 오전 언론 공지에서 "북 헌법 개정 동향 관련 사항들을 종합 검토할 것"이라며 이같이 전했다.
앞서 북은 헌법 개정을 통해 영토 조항에 북측 지역만 명시하고, 남북을 별개 국가로 규정하는 내용을 반영한 가운데 '민족대단결 원칙에서 조국통일을 실현하기 위해 투쟁한다'는 등 기존 헌법 통일 관련 표현을 삭제했다.
더불어 김정은 국무위원장을 국가 수반으로 정의한 동시에 핵무기 사용 권한 역시 처음 헌법에 명시했다.
