브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 그룹 WayV(웨이션브이)·NCT(엔시티) 멤버 텐이 소속사 SM엔터테인먼트를 떠난다.
SM엔터테인먼트는 6일 공식입장을 내고 “텐과 향후 활동 방향에 대해 깊이 있는 논의를 거쳐, 4월 8일자로 전속계약을 마무리하게 됐다”며 “향후 WayV 및 NCT 그룹 활동에 텐이 참여할 수 있도록 조율해 나갈 예정이다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “데뷔 이후 그룹 활동은 물론, 솔로 아티스트로서도 뛰어난 역량을 보여준 텐에게 감사한 마음을 전하며, 텐의 새로운 출발을 진심으로 응원하겠다”고 전했다.
그러면서 “당사는 앞으로도 WayV 멤버들의 활동을 아낌없이 지원할 예정이며, WayV를 응원해 주는 팬 여러분을 위해 더욱 최선을 다하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
한편, 텐은 지난 2016년 NCT의 유닛 NCT U로 데뷔했다. 이후 웨이션브이와 SM 연합 그룹 슈퍼엠(SuperM) 멤버로 활약하며 큰 사랑을 받았다. 특히 텐은 지난 2024년 솔로 앨범 ‘TEN’을 발매하며 솔로 아티스트로서의 역량을 입증한 바 있다.
