브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 유명 번역가 황석희가 과거 성범죄 전력 의혹에 휩싸인 가운데, 직접 입장을 밝혔다.
황석희는 30일 자신의 SNS(사회관계망서비스)를 통해 “현재 관련 사항에 대해 변호사와 검토를 진행 중이다“고 알렸다.
이어 “보도 내용 중 사실과 다른 부분, 확인되지 않은 내용, 또는 법적 판단 범위를 벗어난 표현이 포함될 경우 정정 및 대응을 검토하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
이날 디스패치는 황석희가 과거 세 차례 성범죄를 저질렀다고 보도했다.
매체 보도에 따르면, 황석희는 2005년 춘천 길거리에서 길 가던 여성들을 상대로 한 강제추행 및 폭행으로 징역 1년 6개월에 집행유예 2년을 선고받았다. 2014년에는 자신의 강의를 듣는 수강생을 상대로 성폭력을 행사해 징역 2년에 집행유예 4년을 선고받았다.
황석희는 국내에서 가장 유명한 영화 번역가로, 영화 ‘데드풀’, ‘서치’, ‘보헤미안 랩소디’ 등 수많은 작품들을 번역하며 이름을 알렸다. 최근 개봉한 ‘프로젝트 헤일메리’ 번역도 참여했다.
한편, 황석희는 지난 2012년 더빙 번역가와 결혼해 슬하에 딸 하나를 두고 있다.
