브레이크뉴스 이제항 선임기자=대한민국이 안팎으로 거대한 위기의 파고에 직면해 있다. 미국의 이란 침공으로 중동 정세가 급변하며 호르무즈 해협 봉쇄 우려가 커지는 등 '중동 화약고'의 불길이 우리 경제를 덮치고 있다. 서학개미들의 비명 속에 코스피는 추락하고 환율은 17년 만에 1,500선을 돌파하는 등 민생 경제가 파산 직전이다. 그러나 이재명 정부는 위기 극복 대신 오로지 '대통령 방탄'을 위한 사법 장악에 국력을 낭비하고 있다.
이재명 대통령은 5일 국무회의에서 이른바 '사법개혁 3법(법왜곡죄·재판소원제·대법관 증원법)'에 대한 거부권을 행사하지 않고 공포를 강행했다. 이에 국민의힘은 청와대 앞에서 ‘사법독립 헌정수호 의원총회’를 열고 헌정 질서 파괴를 강력히 규탄했다. 조희대 대법원장과 전국법원장회의가 우려를 표명했음에도 불구하고, 민주당은 105명의 의원이 결성한 ‘이재명 대통령 공소취소 의원모임’을 필두로 사법부를 발아래 두려는 시도를 멈추지 않고 있다.
현 정부는 부동산 시장에서도 다주택자 양도세 중과 재개와 대출 규제로 서민의 주거 사다리를 걷어차고 있으며, 정원오 등 여권 인사의 농지 투기 의혹에는 침묵하고 있다. 또한, 충남·대전 통합법의 행안위 단독 통과로 지역 민심이 궐기대회로 타오르는 가운데 대구·경북(TK) 통합안은 보류하는 등 지역 갈등마저 부추기고 있다. 대통령이 SNS 가이드라인 정리에만 몰두하며 ‘틱톡’ 홍보에 열을 올리는 사이, 국민의힘은 헌정 질서와 민생을 지키기 위한 전면적인 투쟁을 선포했다.

장동혁 국민의힘 당 대표는 3월 5일 현장 의원총회와 최고위원회의를 통해 이재명 정부의 사법 파괴 행태와 경제 무능을 신랄하게 비판했다. 장 대표는 “국민들은 오늘 참으로 참담하고 기괴한 상황을 목도하고 있다”며 “이란 사태로 모든 경제가 무너져 내리는데 사법 질서를 파괴하는 3대 악법을 국무회의에 상정하는 것은 이재명 독재의 완성”이라고 일갈했다.
장 대표는 특히 이재명 대통령이 12개 혐의에 대해 유죄 판결을 내리는 판사를 처벌하는 법(법왜곡죄)을 만들고, 대법관을 늘려 자기 사람을 심으려 하는 행태를 '설마'했던 일이 현실이 된 '사법 잔혹사'로 규정했다. 그는 “이재명 대통령이 3대 악법 통과를 위해 의사봉을 두드린다면 이는 대한민국을 무너뜨리는 망치질이 될 것”이라며, 대통령이 거부권을 행사하지 않는다면 “대한민국 국민이 이재명에 대해 거부권을 행사할 것”이라고 강력히 경고했다.
경제 위기에 대해서도 장 대표는 “이재명 리딩방이라는 말이 나올 정도로 혈세를 퍼부어 지방선거용 주가 띄우기에만 혈안이 돼 있다”며, “한미 통화스와프 하나 체결하지 못하는 무능한 정권이 한가롭게 틱톡이나 올리고 있다”고 꼬집었다. 그러면서 “권력이 판결문을 쓰고 사법 위에 군림하는 나라에 민주주의는 없다”며, “국민의힘이 헌정 질서를 지키기 위해 끝까지 맞서 싸울 것”을 천명했다.

송언석 원내대표는 이재명 정부의 안이한 정세 인식과 사법 장악 음모를 강도 높게 비판했다. 송 원내대표는 페이스북을 통해 “정부는 1,400원대 환율을 '뉴노멀'이라더니 이제 1,500원을 넘나드는 초고환율 상황에서 시장을 안심시킬 메시지조차 내놓지 못하고 있다”며 경제 사령탑의 부재를 지적했다.
특히 그는 이재명 대통령이 필리핀 순방 중 SNS에 대북송금 사건을 '조작'이라 주장한 것을 두고 “해외 순방 중에도 자기 범죄 행각을 지우기 위해 골몰하는 대통령을 어떻게 용납하겠느냐”며 “대통령 본인이 직접 공소취소 선동의 배후임을 자백한 것”이라고 일축했다. 또한 정청래 대표의 조희대 대법원장 사퇴 협박에 대해 “돼지 눈에는 돼지만 보이는 법”이라며 집권 세력의 헌법 파괴 선동을 비난했다.
송 원내대표는 '법왜곡죄'가 통과된 것에 대해 “이재명 대통령에게 납득할 수 없는 무죄를 준 판사들이나, 대장동 항소 포기를 주도한 검찰 간부들부터 이 법으로 기소해야 국민이 이해할 것”이라고 꼬집었다. 아울러 김경수, 정원오, 김용 등 전과자들을 대거 공천하는 민주당을 향해 “‘범죄자 주권 정부’를 넘어 ‘범죄자 지방 자치 시대’를 열겠다는 선언”이라며 6월 3일 지방선거에서의 엄중한 심판을 예고했다.
