(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=광주광역시의 대표 청년 일자리 사업인 ‘광주청년 일경험드림’이 구직 청년들의 뜨거운 관심 속에 ‘드림 만남의 날’ 행사를 마쳤다.
광주시는 지난 11일부터 13일까지 사흘간 시청 1층 시민홀에서 열린 이번 행사에 구직 청년 1,900여 명이 참여했다고 18일 밝혔다.
‘드림 만남의 날’은 일경험 참여를 원하는 청년과 사업장(드림터)이 현장에서 직접 만나 직무 상담과 면접을 진행하는 맞춤형 매칭 프로그램이다.
이번 행사에는 ▲한국전력거래소 ▲광주신용보증재단 등 공공기관을 비롯해 ▲한국알프스㈜ ▲조선대학교 등 지역 내 중소·중견기업, 창업기업, 사회적경제기업, 사회복지기관 등 총 270여 개 드림터가 참여해 인재 찾기에 나섰다.
현장을 찾은 청년들은 각 드림터별 상담 공간에서 직무 내용과 근무 환경, 필요 역량 등에 대해 상세한 안내를 받고 현장 면접에 임했다. 또한 현장에는 청년정책 홍보부스와 광주전남 행정통합 홍보부스도 마련되어 다양한 정책 정보 공유와 시민 의견 수렴이 함께 이뤄졌다.
광주시는 이번 행사 참여자 중 총 450명을 ‘제19기 드림청년’으로 최종 선발한다. 결과는 오는 25일 광주청년통합플랫폼 및 시 누리집 등을 통해 확인할 수 있다.
선발된 청년들은 3월 초 공통교육(노무 기초, 직장 내 소통, 직무 이해 등)을 거쳐 3월부터 7월까지 최대 5개월간 해당 사업장에서 실무를 경험하게 된다.
특히 시는 일경험 기간 중 ‘드림매니저’를 투입해 청년들의 현장 적응을 돕고 근무 환경을 상시 점검할 계획이다. 아울러 현직 선배와의 멘토링 프로그램을 통해 청년들이 자신의 진로를 보다 구체적으로 설계할 수 있도록 지원한다.
김기숙 광주시 교육청년국장은 “청년의 일경험은 진로를 구체화하고 자신감을 쌓아가는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “매칭부터 현장 적응, 역량 강화까지 책임 있게 뒷받침해 청년들이 지역에서 일하며 성장할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 강조했다.
