(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=광주시 서구가 연대와 지원을 기반으로 한 따뜻한 마을 생태계를 조성하기 위해 총 3억 6,000만 원 규모의 ‘2026년 주민주도 마을공동체 공모사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이번 공모사업은 주민들의 자발적인 참여를 독려하고 지역 특성에 맞는 활동을 지원하기 위해 ▲마을공동체(배움·채움·이룸) ▲아파트공동체(배움·채움·이룸) ▲기획(사회문제 해결·도시공원 연계·협력사업·소통방) ▲특성화(여성가족친화마을) 등 총 4개 부문 11개 분야로 세분화되었다.
서구는 이번 공모를 통해 약 98개의 주민모임 및 단체를 선정할 예정이며, 모임별로 최대 800만 원까지 사업비를 지원할 계획이다.
특히 올해 사업에서 눈에 띄는 대목은 ‘도시공원 연계’ 분야의 신설이다. 서구는 단순한 휴식 공간이었던 공원을 자치·돌봄·문화·교육이 어우러지는 ‘생활 플랫폼’으로 전환하여, 주민들의 삶과 밀착된 공동체 활동을 더욱 확대한다는 방침이다.
