브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 설 명절을 앞두고 지난 11일 과천 바로마켓에서 지역사회 취약계층을 대상으로 설 명절 선물세트 전달식을 개최했다.
이날 전달식에는 한국마사회 추완호 경영관리본부장과 박장열 사무총장을 비롯해 박찬정 과천종합사회복지관장 등 관계자들이 참석했다.
이번 전달식은 설 명절을 맞아 소외되는 이웃 없이 모두가 따뜻한 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 마련된 행사다. 한국마사회 사업장이 위치한 3개 지역과, 장수목장 인근의 노인·장애인 등 취약계층 620가구를 대상으로 지역 농산물로 구성된 설 명절 선물세트가 제공됐다.
선물세트는 한국마사회 바로마켓을 통해 구매한 지역 농수산물을 활용해 구성함으로써, 취약계층 지원과 함께 농가 소득 증대 및 지역경제 활성화에 기여하는 상생형 사회공헌 활동으로 의미를 더했다.
선물 전달은 한국마사회와 지역 복지기관 간 긴밀한 협력을 통해 임직원이 직접 취약계층 가정을 방문해 명절 인사와 덕담을 전하는 방식으로 진행됐다.
추완호 한국마사회 경영관리본부장은 “이번 전달식은 명절을 맞아 취약계층의 체감 복지를 높이는 동시에 지역 농가와 소상공인에게 실질적인 도움이 되는 상생형 사회공헌 활동”이라며 “앞으로도 민생 중심의 사회공헌을 지속 추진해 공공기관으로서의 사회적 책임을 충실히 이행해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
